Redefining Psychotherapy With Personalized Care
About Monica
Hello! I’m Monica Fey
Monica Fey holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia (1993) and a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida (2011). She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in Ontario. She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
With 33 years of professional experience in the mental health field, Monica has worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including addiction, chronic mental health conditions, anxiety, depression, grief, and anger. She also has experience helping individuals and families navigate challenges related to divorce, relationships, sexual identity, and adolescence. Through understanding, perspective, and supportive guidance, Monica helps her clients develop healthier ways of coping and move toward more fulfilling lives.
Monica’s most recent clinical position was with Citrus Health Network in Hialeah, Florida, where she served as a Clinical Supervisor. Her responsibilities included conducting biopsychosocial evaluations, supporting diagnosis and treatment planning, reviewing treatment plans, supervising therapists, and working with patients requiring critical care.
Monica believes that life experiences and emotional challenges can sometimes distract us from our intended path and leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the world around us. Emotional pain, trauma, and suffering can be expressions of that disconnection. Drawing on her personal experience and professional knowledge, Monica helps people gain clarity, reconnect with themselves, and move toward a more purposeful and fulfilling life.
Monica also leads by example. Alongside her education and professional experience in psychology, she has practiced and taught yoga, meditation, and fitness for 35 years. She believes in the connection between body, mind, and spirit, and recognizes that when these dimensions are nurtured and respected, people can discover greater balance, vitality, and well-being.
